Food Drives

Your Food Donations are essential to our ability to provide wholesome, nutritious food to the hungry in our community. Every Yellow Food Bin that is filled with food and brought to The Hunger Coalition contributes to the variety and quantity of food we can distribute weekly through our Mobile Food Bank Van. Our Yellow Food Collection Bins are waiting for your donations at stores, businesses, churches and schools across the Wood River Valley. For a complete list of bin locations, please refer to the list below.

Your Donation of Non-Perishable Food Items Contributes to the Health and Well-Being or our Entire Community!
  • A Yellow Bin Filled with Food weighs approximately 204 pounds.
  • This amount translates into enough food for a family of four to eat 3 meals a day for two weeks.

A typical Food Drive lasts anywhere from one week to a whole month. A single Yellow Food Bin takes little room while providing an enormous amount of help.

Spring Corporate Food Drive 2010: A Tremendous Success!

With 17 local businesses participating in this year's annual Spring Corporate Food Drive, enough non-perishable food and cash contributions were raised to supply more than 2,600 meals!
