Partner with Community Agencies:
The Hunger Coalition works closely with social, health, employment, educational, and community service agencies and organizations throughout our community. Our Community Assistance cards, available in English and Spanish, are an integral part of this process. To learn more, please visit our Partners page.
Operate a Food Bank:
Our Food Bank in Bellevue is the central clearinghouse for all food items, donated or purchased, that are to be distributed through our Mobile Food Bank system. This storage facility allows us to provide food to the hungry on a year-round basis.
Collect Valuable Food Donations:
We collect non-perishable food items year-round through our Yellow Collection Bins and through Food Drives sponsored by schools, churches, businesses, and community service groups. Special arrangements with area grocery stores enables us to collect critical perishable food items otherwise designated for disposal. All foods collected are distributed through our Mobile Food Bank.
Collect and Publish Statistics:
Raise awareness about the issue of hunger in our community through education, our local media, and community outreach, and collaborate with other community service groups and social service agencies in bringing the people in need together with the services they need to become vibrant, functioning members of our community.
