Caroline Willis

Development Supervisor

Pronouns: She, Her, Hers

What’s your role/what do you do @ THC?

In collaboration with the Development team, I help ensure that donations from community members reach our programs, which provide access to healthy food and knowledge of how food goes from being planted to plated. Additionally, I research and implement processes that apply up-to-date best practices to maximize the impact of our community’s generosity and provide lasting positive experiences.

Who is your Food or Social Justice Hero?

I admire Alice Waters for pioneering the farm-to-table movement and showing the world that good food can be both simple and transformative. Her commitment to local, sustainable agriculture inspires me to see food not only as nourishment, but as a tool for equity, education, and community connection.

What do you love most about our community?

I love the sense of connection and care in our community. People here don’t just help. They aspire to inspire, teach, and lift each other up, creating a stronger, smarter, and sustainable ecosystem.

If you were a fruit or vegetable, what would you be and why?

I would be a peapod. Full of possibility and hidden treasures, I work behind the scenes to connect resources, people, and programs that help our community thrive.
